Mark & Emma walk the Camino for SWEDA

A HUGE round of applause for Mark & Emma Champion for their fundraising success!

Mark and Emma Champion have just completed their 34 day trek across Spain on the Camino de Santiago. The pair kicked off their long walk from St. Jean Pied de Port in France on May 22nd, and journeyed on foot across almost all of North Spain, arriving at their goal of Santiago de Compostela on June 24th. All through that bonkers June heatwave too! ☀️

Mark and Emma took on their colossal journey in aid of SWEDA: "We have chosen to support SWEDA who are a local charity that helped us to understand and come to terms with the illness when our daughter, Neve, was diagnosed with Anorexia in 2020. Thankfully, she is now fit, healthy and enjoying life, something which we feared would never happen when we began this journey."

They raised £5,375 for SWEDA from 67 (!) supporters, making it our biggest fundraiser to date. The funds they've raised will help us be there for more families and individuals affected by eating disorders, going straight to our core services such as counselling, support calls, and schools outreach. Thank you so much, Mark and Emma, for your inspiring efforts.

Here's what Mark and Emma had to say about their fundraiser:

"It's been a fantastic journey and one we're so glad we made. It's been tough at times, but we've also had such fun along the way. We've met fabulous people who have shared great stories and enriched OUR journey so much more than we could've imagined. Thank you to all those at home who have supported us and our charity, and those who have been part of our lives along 'our Camino'." - Mark Champion
