This role requires a Trainee Counsellor, working to Level 3 of a Counselling Diploma, looking to broaden your knowledge of Eating Disorders. You will be working in a one-to-one environment offering supportive check-in calls while our clients, who either have an eating disorder or who are caring for someone with an eating disorder, are waiting for their therapy. It is essential to have a willingness to embrace and develop a broad range of counselling models. This is a great opportunity to gain experience before being signed off “Fit to Practice” by your training provider. This also opens up the pathway to our sought after Counsellor on Placement programme.

Important dates

3rd February (midday): Closing date for applications
5th February: Applicants informed they have been invited to attend a two day training workshop. Please note that there is a cost of £150 to attend, which will contribute to CPD hours needed to complete your course
13th and 14th February: Training workshop (cost as outlined above)
20th and 21st February: Formal panel interview with members of the SWEDA team
TBC: Start date
10th April, 14th July and 15th October: Compulsory additional training
