Please note that SWEDA does not operate an emergency service. Our usual opening hours are 8am-8pm Monday-Thursday. If you call outside of these times, we may not be there to answer, but you can still leave us a voicemail message and we will get back to you.

If you require support and you are unable to reach us, please try the following:
If you are already receiving support from mental health services, you should have a care plan. This will include details of your local Community Mental Health Team and who you should contact in a crisis. If in doubt, contact your GP.
If you feel that you need to talk to someone immediately for emotional support, then you may find a telephone support line useful.

The UK’s first suicide prevention app, Stay Alive. The app is totally free to users and offers help and support both to people with thoughts of suicide and to people concerned about someone else. Most of the content is viewable offline, and parts of the app can be customised by the user to suit their personal needs.

Papyrus HOPELine
This is a specialist telephone service staffed by trained professionals who give non-judgmental support, practical advice and information to, children, teenagers and young people up to the age of 35 who are worried about how they are feeling and to anyone who is concerned about a young person.
