Leave a gift in your will
Leave a gift in your will
People pledge legacy gifts to SWEDA as a way of saying "thank you" when SWEDA has played a part in the recovery of a friend or family member who has suffered from an eating disorder. Once you have taken care of your loved ones in your will, a legacy in favour of a registered charity reduces the inheritance tax payable on your estate, meaning that your generosity can directly benefit future service users. By letting us know that you intend to leave a gift for us in your will, you can also help SWEDA plan confidently for the future.
Long standing supporter and previous Chair of SWEDA Brian Roberts-Wray shares why he has left SWEDA a gift in his will:
“I first met SWEDA when they supported my family. I want to support the future work of SWEDA, so I have left a gift to them in my will (along with a few other charities who mean a lot to me). A gift in your Will is a relatively ’painless’ way of showing your support of SWEDA, and for that reason increasing numbers of "cash poor, asset rich" supporters choose this method of helping charities they care about. Legacies don’t have to be huge, but making provision for a charity you care about in your will now can mean a brighter future for someone else, and that is good to know.”
