The Pendulum In a world of confusion, the pendulum swings. Its regular motion, the only sure thing. Disturbing the silence, its creaky hinge sings. Rocking the world, the pendulum swings. No complications, no awkward ties. Monotonous swinging, the pendulum sighs. Devoted and loyal, with impartial eyes. The pendulum judges without words or lies. Through no matter what, the steady old beat. The end of the world, its only defeat. Still beating away, no other notion. Keeping the time, each single motion.
