Defeated

I cant do this anymore
5 years and i still breathe the same air
inhaling her lies and dreams
her beautiful illusions keep me here
Still trying to break free
but am thrown back by size and esteem
Fooling myself that I can sleep and eat
But I keep falling back off my feet
Im tired of reaching for happiness
exhausted from the pain I keep
Giving up on everything
now please just let me sleep
Turning things around for the better
But somehow came off worse
never wanted to be a regretter
never thought I was cursed
Eating covers things up
it works both ways
So I guess thats why now I cut
trying to bleed the pain that stays
One day this will all be over
and my soul will gently rise
I''l dance among the flowers
and comforts those who hear her lies
