Do you know what it's like to have an eating disorder?
Would you like to share your story to help others?

University of Oxford

My name is Ulla and I'm a researcher at the University of Oxford. I'm interviewing young people about their experiences of living with an eating disorder for an award winning website www.youthhealthtalk.org. We want to understand what it really feels like to have an eating disorder and give voice to young people who've been through it. We particularly want to make sure that the experiences of boys and young men are included and understood better by health professionals, the public, and young people. So far we've had more interest from young women who've experienced Anorexia Nervosa and are now particularly looking for volunteers who are:

  • aged 16-25
  • young men with experience of an eating disorder
  • young women with experience of bulimia, binge eating or overeating
  • … and who would like to share their experiences through an interview

The interview is very relaxed and informal, just a chat about your experiences. It's entirely up to you what to talk about and what not. Afterwards, I will send a transcript to check through and you can change or delete anything you want. You can also take part completely anonymously.

Please get in touch for more information, there is no obligation to take part!
Thank you,

Ulla
