Parent carers: How does this
role affect relationships
with significant others? |
|
Thema Peart, Brunel University. |
Hello,
I’m Thema Peart, a final year Psychology undergraduate
at Brunel University and I’m looking for volunteers to be part
of an important piece of research concerning parents who care for
a child with an eating disorder.
What is the research about?
This research aims to increase our understanding on how the role of
carer impacts on relationships both within and outside the family.
This research has been ethically approved by the Brunel School of
Social Sciences Ethics Committee.
Who can take part?
I'm looking for parents who have a child that has been diagnosed with
an eating disorder and see themselves as a main source of care and
support for them.
What does it involve?
- Participants will take part in a single telephone interview about
their experience.
- This will take approximately 45 minutes and will be recorded.
- Data will be kept confidential and made anonymous during the transcription
process. Any information that could lead to participants
and/or their families being identified will not be included in the
write up of results.
How do I find out more?
If you are interested in being a part of this important research,
or for more information, email me at
hs07ttp@brunel.ac.uk.
There will be no obligation to take part. |
